A presentation was given to the Parish Council meeting on Tuesday 19th February 2013 by JG Consulting on the results of the Local Housing Needs Survey. A copy of this can be found here Wootton Bridge Parish Council 19th feb 2013.
The final report is in the process of being completed and will be made available on the website once available.
The final report will be sent to the Isle of Wight Council Planning Department so that the findings can form a material consideration in the determination of planning applications for Wootton Bridge.
The Parish Council do not have the resources to grit the village square or car park slope, particularly as once this is started this has to continue for twenty four hours a day, seven days a week whilst slippery conditions remain.
The Parish Council have purchased three warning signs which they will put out when the office is open (subject to the member of staff being aware of the conditions).
Please remain vigilant in the cold weather to come and remember to look after any vulnerable neighbours you may be aware of.
The Isle of Wight Council will be introducing Vinci Ringway (the appointed Service Provider for the Highways PFI Contract) to Island Residents at a nunmber of roadshows. The purpose of the roadshows is to explain how the Highways PFI project will be delivered to the Island, how the road upgrade will be managed and how the public can be kept abreast of future plans. The roadshow for our local parish has been arranged for Monday 21 January 2013 at 6.00 p.m. at Ryde Academy, Pell Lane, Ryde.
Please come along and meet the service provider and ask any questions that may be relevant to you.
